Instructions of use (Easy Planter)
Place Easy Planter on the surface where it will grow, keeping in mind that the distance between them should be more than 2 centimetres. Open the top of the container completely.
Hydrate the Easy Planter by placing the drippers on top. Apply water at short intervals and wait 10 minutes. The amount of water required would be 75% of the final volume expansion, which is reached after 24 hours.
It is very important to neutralize the coconut fiber to avoid, in the early stages of the plant, cations that naturally contain sodium and potassium, may unbalance the nutrient solution. This process is completed very simply:
a. Upon expansion, introduce divalent cations from calcium (Ca2 +) and magnesium (Mg +2) to displace potassium cations (K +) and sodium (Na +), present in the coconut fiber.
b. Apply a mixture of 1kg of calcium nitrate (CaNO3) with 300 grams of magnesium sulfate (MgSO4) per 1000 liters of water
By applying water at short intervals the coconut hydrates slowly and reaches its highest level of expansion in 24 hours. During that time, the Easy Planter must be in contact with the calcium (Ca +2) and magnesium (Mg +2) solution.
After expansion, cut the drainage holes by making 3 small cuts in the lower back and front.
Wash the Easy Planter with water only so that the calcium (Ca +2) and magnesium (Mg +2) remain and the sodium (Na +) and potassium (K +) disappear.
Saturate the substrate with the initial nutrient solution, leave in contact for 24 hours.
Check and adjust the pH drainage and electrical conductivity.
To do the transplant, insert the plant in the Easy Planter and apply the irrigation and nutrients.
During cultivation ongoing monitoring of the electrical conductivity and pH is necessary, while maintaining adequate levels of drainage to prevent the accumulation of salts in the soil.
